Ishuk, Mudassir, Younis, Jaideep smash rivals to enter semis

JAMMU, Oct 16: Ishuk Chowdhary, Mudassir Ashiq, Younis Kuchey and Jaideep Manocha smashed rivals in their respective matches and entered in the semis of the ongoing 1st J&K State Six Red Ball Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA), at billiards hall, MA Stadium, here today.
In the first quarterfinal match, Ishuk Chowdhary defeated Rahil Bhat by 4-1, whereas in the second game, Mudassir Ashiq beat Vidit Gawri by 4-3. In the third quarterfinal match, Younish Kuchey registered win over Ishan Chowdhary by straight 4-0 frames, whereas in the fourth quarterfinal match, Jaideep Manocha outplayed Avish Sharma by 4-1.
Meanwhile, Sub-Junior Snooker Championship also commenced at same venue.
In the first game, Ishan Singh beat Apoorve Pandwal by 2-0, Ishan Gupta registered win over Aryan Sharma by 2-0 in the second match and Sankalp Soni defeated Jayant Kumar by 2-0 in the third game.
In the fourth game, Harsh Kumar crushed Pankaj Kumar by 2-1, Vasu Gupta registered win over Herkeet Singh by 2-0 in the fifth game and in the sixth match, Padam Gupta thrashed Aryaman Mahajan by 2-0.
Furkan Wani beat Rishab Bamba by 2-0 in the seventh game, whereas in the eight game Akhil Gupta registered win over Ashok Gupta by 2-1 and in the ninth game, Basit Wani crushed Akhil Gupta by 2-1.
In the tenth game, Ananya Mahajan defeated Umang Gupta by 2-0, whereas in the eleventh match, Sonam Dogra registered win over Sudhansu Gupta by 2-0 and in the twelfth game, Krishna beat Assad Dar by 2-0.
In the thirteenth match scheduled between Sunny and Aditya Upal, former got walkover, whereas in the fourteenth game scheduled between Ansh and Azad Gul, former got walkover.
The matches were being held under strict supervision of the JKBSA members and played with the rules and regulations of Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI).
The matches were officiated by Rakesh Sharma, Pawan Khajuria and Ashok.
