JAMMU, Oct 19: Not even a single day passes when the NC leadership is not making statements which are detrimental to peace and normalcy in Valley and are thus adding fuel to the ongoing unrest. This was stated by BJP State president Sat Sharma in a statement issued here today.
He said the statements of NC leaders are aimed at projecting separatists as key stakeholders in Kashmir. It is very unfortunate that NC is not concerned for the well being of Kashmiri masses and the development of the Valley. The NC leadership did not even hesitate to play with career of the students while making repeated demand for postponement of JKBOSE examinations, when the students themselves are approaching the Chief Minister and the Education Minister for holding examinations in time and are against postponing the same.
Sharma said that the Governments at the Centre and in the State have been working hard to restore normalcy in the Valley and they are committed to early resumption of educational across the Valley and now even the students are defying the bandh calls and demanding opening of schools and colleges but contrary to it, NC is demanding postponement of exams. He said that the real face of NC is getting exposed after each statement of its leaders, including former Chief Minister and other senior leaders.
Sat Sharma said that the developments during last 100 days of unrest in Kashmir stand testimony to the fact that NC has never been sincere in safety and security of the people of Kashmir and wants continuation of the unrest. Not even a single appeal has emerged from any leader of NC to the youth to shun stone pelting. None of them have condemned killing of policemen or soldiers in attacks by terrorists. While the entire world community condemned the Uri Fidayeen attack, NC preferred to maintain stoic silence.
“What the NC has been doing during all these days of unrest in Kashmir is unhealthy politics”, Sat said and added that the NC leadership wants to promote Pak agenda by repeatedly demanding talks with Pakistan and involvement of separatists, which is highly unfortunate.
