JAMMU, Oct 28: Jammu Rising Stars outplayed MIER Academy by 5 wickets to stay alive in the ongoing Under-15 Diwali T-20 League for boys, being played at Parade Ground, here today.
Batting first, MIER Academy scored 115 runs in stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Kapil made 30 runs, while Snoop Bhagat scored 28 runs and Aparjit Raina chipped in 16 runs.
For Jammu Rising Stars side, Praful took 2 wickets, while Ritik, Tushar, Abay and Agastaya shared one wicket each.
In reply, Jammu Rising Stars chased the target in 19 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Kannav was the top scorer with 28 runs, while Abhay made 22 runs and Shehzad scored 17 runs.
For MIER Academy side, Karmanya and Shahid took 2 wickets each, while Yugan Dhar scalped 1 wicket.
Abhay Tondon was declared as Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Sandeep Manchanda, Sanjay Manchanda, Madan and Shugul.
In tomorrow’s fixture, MIER Academy will take on Singh Akhnoor Lions.
