Justice Rabstan inaugurates library at District Court

LEH, Oct 29: Judge of the J&K High Court, Justice Tashi Rabstan today inaugurated library at District Court here.
District and Sessions Judge Khalil Ahmad Chowdhary, Chief Judicial Magistrate Spalzes Angmo, Munsif Nobra Phunchok Angmo, Munsif Khaltsi Chemit Yourgil, Deputy Commissioner Prasanna Ramaswamy G, SSP Uday Bhaskar, Bar Association President Advocate Otsal Wangdus and Bar members were present on the occasion.
On the occasion, Justice Rabstan assured to give Rs 30,000 from High Court for the library.
Talking to reporters, Bar Association President Otsal Wangdus said that the newly inaugurated library will be of great help for the law practitioners. “There are lots of books and we are also looking forward for the new software and computers in the library”, he added.
Later, a legal awareness camp was held at Degree College where students from various schools participated.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Rabstan laid emphasis on adhering to fundamental duties and said, “we all should contribute in protecting natural resources, public properties, help senior citizens and needy people”.
He made an appeal especially to students not to cause damage to public property which he said has become a trend today in case of any agitation or protest.
Others present included religious heads, President LBA Women Wing, Principal and students of Moravian and Lamdon Schools, members of Bar Association, Vice Principal, staff and students of EJM College, Leh.
