Zero Hour in Council

SRINAGAR, Oct 4:  Members raised several issues of public importance in the House during Zero Hour today.
Khalid Najeeb Suhrwardhy demanded removal of material accumulated on the roads after demolishing of encroachments in Doda besides repairs of drains affected due to demolishing drive while Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri demanded restoration of traffic, particularly vehicles carrying tourists, on Bijbehera-Langanbal-Pahalgam road to boost the economy of the people living on this circuit.
Naresh Kumar Gupta demanded balanced creation of blocks to ensure equal development of the areas in Bhaderwah and Mohammad Amin Bhat  raised frequent traffic jam problem on Wanpoh-Kulgam and Qazigund-Kulgam roads.
Jugal Kishore raised the issue of illegal constructions at Katra and demanded its halt besides creation of adequate facilities for the pilgrims visiting the town.
Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah raised pathetic condition of electrical transformers and poles in Kralgund Kupwara and demanded their replacement to avoid further human and animal loss. He also demanded compensation to the family of one Javed Hussain Shah of Khargund who died due to electrocution.
B.R. Kundal raised the issue of farmers belonging to SC community, who occupy the evacuee property land. He demanded compensation to them in case their land is acquired by the Govt for public purpose.
Sheikh Ghulam Rasool demanded merger of 30 villages with Ganderbal district which have earlier been included with Srinagar Municipal Corporation after carving out of district Ganderbal.
Ajay Sadhotra raised the issue of disease spread in Basmati crop and demanded immediate attention of the Government to prevent the damage of crops.
. Jahangir Mir demanded putting of Gardens and Parks and Floriculture Department under the control of Chief Minister.
Ajat Shatru Singh demanded removal of encroachment near Jammu Golf Course besidies formation of micro and macro plans for development of Mansar and Suransar tourist spots.
Master Noor Hussain demanded utilization of the doctors who obtained their degree from outside state while Subhash Chander Gupta demanded early disbursement of crop loss compensation to the farmers affected in 2009 drought in Jammu.
