JAMMU, Nov 7: Jammu Vishal Stars won Under-15 Diwali T20 League-2016 at Parade Ground, here today.
The tournament in which 4 teams which included Jammu Rising Stars,Jammu Vishal Stars, MIER Cricket Academy and Singh Akhnoor lions participated was organized by Vishal Cricket Club Jammu in collaboration with Jammu Police.
The tournament is being organized under the supervision of Rajesh Gill Former Ranji Trophy Player.
In today’s final match batting first, Jammu Rising Stars scored 106 runs in stipulated 18 overs for the loss of 7 wickets with Ayush Andotra (35), Rohan Gill (17) and Shahzad (11) being the main scorer. Jugjap took 5 wickets while Aditpal took 2 wickets.
Jammu Vishal Stars, in reply chased the target on the last ball of the match by losing 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets. Akshit 21, Aditpal 18 and Aryasachiman 11 were the main scorers. Jugjap was declared as man of the match in final, the best batsman award went to Ayush Andotra, while the best bowler award was given to Abhay Tondon and the man of the series was awarded to Kartik for his all-round performance.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Sandeep Manchanda, Sanjay Manchanda and Shugul.
Kuldeep Khoda, Chief Vigilance Commissioner J&K was chief guest on the valedictory function, while Ranjeet Kalra, Vice Chairman Jammu Sports Council/Member BCCI and Hilal Rather MD Simula Group of Companies were the guests of honour.
The proceedings of the function were conducted by Rajesh Dhar and RP Singh.
