32nd Jammu District Table Tennis Championship concludes

*Dheeraj wins men’s title, Shreya claims women’s final

JAMMU, Nov 10: 32nd Jammu District Table Tennis Championship 2016 concluded with the final day witnessing nail biting summit clashes in all the categories at MA Stadium, here today.
Waheed Ur Rehman Para, Secretary J&K State Sports council was the chief guest on the valedictory function and distributed prizes amongst the winners and runners-up players on the occasion.
He encouraged players to perform consistently and give their best efforts in future also.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Para assured Jammu and Kashmir Table Tennis Association that the Council will provide ll the possible assistance in improving the playing conditions of Table Tennis Hall t M Stdium.
Earlier, in Under-12 (Cadet Boys final), Akhilesh beat Divyansh 3-1, while in Under-12 (Cadet Girls final), Iknoor drubbed Ragini 3-1.
In Under-14 (Sub Junior Boys final), Saksham outclassed Akhilesh 3-0, while in Under-14 (Sub junior Girls final), Iknoor trounced Hargun 3-2.
In Under-17 (Junior boys final), Ritvik beat Mannan Singh 3-0, while in Under-17 (Junior Girls final), Hargun drubbed Shreya 3-2.
Meanwhile, in men’s final, Dheeraj Arora outplayed Shorya Sharma 3-1, while in women’s final, Shreya got better of Shzar Sharma 3-1 and in veteran singles final, Dr Prabhjot prevailed over Anuj Verma 3-1.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Mushtaq Ahmad Bb, PRO TO Secretary Sports Council, Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer, Satbir Singh, Rajan Sharma, I.P Singh, Satish Gupta, Ajay Sharma, Anil Dutta, Gurvinder Singh Sasan, Vasu Dewan, Narinder Singh, Sandeep Khadotra, Shorya Sharma, Sheetal Gandotra, Narinder Kaur and Sanjeev Gupta.
The matches were officiated by Sandeep Khadotra and Meenu Rajesh.
