Development of border villages top priority of Govt: Vibodh

RAJOURI, Nov 10: Terming overall development of border villages of Rajouri district as the top priority of present State Government, MLC Vibodh Gupta today said that efforts are being made to ensure that people living in the areas close to Line of Control (LoC) get every basic facility.
While addressing a gathering of people from Keri village of Rajouri where he inaugurated a tiled path, MLC Vibodh Gupta said that border areas of Rajouri district were ignored in past years and people living in these areas are still waiting to get several basic facilities and shortage of same multiply their problems.
“From Sunderbani to BG as well as the border areas of Poonch district remained ignore but present Government is working tirelessly to ensure that all types of basic facilities remain available there and no problem is faced by people living there” MLC said.
Castigating Pakistan for repeatedly triggering tension on borders, MLC said Pakistan again violating ceasefire and is creating tension. “Pakistani army is following inhumane way of targeting civilian population” he said, adding, that Indian Army is giving a strong reply to the guns of Pakistan but we follow humanity and don’t target their civilian areas.
Earlier, the MLC along with officers of Rural Development Department inaugurated a pathway with tile work in Keri village located close to LoC. The work of the pathway was completed with funds allotted both from MGNREGA under convergence and funds provided by MLC under CDF.
BJP District vice president, Kamal Bakshi and BJP Mandal president, Sanjay Sharma, also spoke on the occasion.
