JAMMU, Nov 11: Two persons including a woman today succumbed to their burn injuries here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
According to a police spokesman, a woman identified as Renu Devi (40) wife of Jagdev Singh, resident of Akhnoor was admitted in GMCH Jammu on October 31 with about 90% burn injuries, which she had received at her residence. He said today at about 8 am the woman passed away.
“Similarly, a man namely Chain Singh (45) son of Raj Singh, resident of Dabler (Udhampur), was shifted in GMCH Jammu on November 4, with about 55% burn injuries, which he had received at his home due to stove blast”, the spokesman said, adding, he also succumbed to his injuries today at about 4 pm.
After conducting post mortem, the body of the woman was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites while the body of the deceased man was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting postmortem tomorrow. In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
