Four-day first-aid training camp concludes at Red Cross Bhawan

JAMMU, Nov 11: A four-day first-aid training camp for drivers/conductors of commercial vehicles concluded today here at Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawni.
The camp was organized by Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Jammu region under the aegis of St John Ambulance (India) Regional Centre, Jammu, on the directions of Dr Pawan Kotwal, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
The training camp was started on November 7. During the camp, 53 participants were trained by providing theory-cum-practical knowledge on first-aid, with the sole motto of saving the precious lives during untoward accidents.
The training was imparted by Senior Consultants on the subject, namely Dr Rajinder Thappa, CMp, GMCH Jammu, Dr Munish, Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon, Max Hospital, Amritsar, Dr ML Sharma, Ex-DMO and Dr Simriti, Medical Officer of Red Cross Dispensary whereas the exam of the participants was conducted by Dr Kavita Nijohn, Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary, assisted by Joginder Kumar, Pharmacist.
The training camp was conducted under the supervision of RC Puri, Honorary Secretary, IRCS, Jammu region.
