Ludhiana, Nov 13: In a spectacular win today at PAU- Ludhiana Sports Stadium SKUAST- Jammu has made it to the Quarterfinals of the ongoing All India Vice Chancellor’s T-20 cricket tournament being held at PAU Ludhiana. In today’s crucial match SKUAST-Jammu defeated GADVASU Ludhiana by 9 wickets. Batting first after Winning the toss GADVASU could only muster 77 runs all out in 19.4 overs, chasing SKUAST-Jammu reached the required target for the loss of just 1 wicket. For SKUAST Jammu Nissar claimed 5 wickets by conceding just 10 runs including a hattrick. In batting Mohan Lal made 33 (not out), Rajinder Singh 19 & Vinod 13 not out. For his birrilliant performance with the ball Nissar was declared as man of the match.
SKUAST- Jammu will meet either PAU Ludhiana or MDS University Rajasthan in the quarterfinals on November 16, 2016.
Coach Er. Kewal Sharma informed the media that team is very much confident and will leave no chance to win this trophy. Kewal further added that few of the players are in spectacular form and it is adding more momentum for win.
