JAMMU, Oct 5: In a complaint filed by the Government, Principal Sessions Judge, Jammu, Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal today directed the former Minister, Abdul Gani Vakil to remain present in the court on next date of hearing.
When the complaint filed by the Government through Public Prosecutor was taken up for hearing, Advocate Veenu Gupta moved an application seeking exemption of Abdul Gani Vakil against whom bail-able warrants were issued for securing his presence in the complaint filed by the Government through Public Prosecutor.
She submitted that the Abdul Gani Vakil is out of station and unable to attend the proceedings before this court. “The absence of applicant is neither intentional nor deliberate”, she further submitted and sought exemption from his personal appearance before the Court for today.
While allowing exemption for today’s proceedings, the Court directed that Abdul Gani Vakil should remain present on next date of hearing.
