UDHAMPUR, Nov 14: Under 17 Matches series which was organised by Rising Star Cricket Club at Subhash Stadium Udhampur concluded here today.
Players from both the clubs viz. Rising Star Cricket Club and Lakshya Cricket Academy played with exemplary sportsmanship spirit.
Third and final match of the series was won by Rising Star Cricket Club which elected to bat first. The club scored 243 runs in the stipulated 45 overs for the loss of 07 wickets. Top scorer in the inning was Shivansh Sharma who scored 47 runs. Dikshant Kundal and Satvik Proach contributed 45 and 42 runs respectively. Udhay Pratap Singh and Mukul Dubey also added 31 and 24 runs respectively. From Lakshya Cricket Academy Aniket Sharma scalped 2 wickets. Takshdeep Singh,Nikhil Singh and Avinash Bharti took 1 wicket each.
In reply Lakshya Cricket Academy competed very well but was bundled out on the score 144 in 33.5 over’s and lost the match by 99 runs. Avinash Bharti was the top scorer with 48 runs. Nikhil Singh remained unbeaten on 17 runs. Saksham Thappa and Ashank Bandral contributed 15 and 11 runs respectively.
From Rising Star Cricket Club Dikshant kundal bowled splendidly who took 5 wicket conceding just 16 runs in 4 overs .Manik kotwal took 2 wickets. Aditya Sharma, Udhay pratap Singh and Ranveer singh took 1 wicket each.
Dikshant Kundal was declared as man of the match.
Award of best batsman, best bowler and best felder was bagged by Avinash bharti, Dikshant Kundal and Nikhil Singh respectively.
Award of Man of the series was bagged by Shivansh Sharma as he was the leading scorer of the series and also kept marvellously behind the wickets.
Sham swaroop kalsotra Ex Vice chairman and working committee member of JKCA was the chief guest on the occasion.
He distributed prizes among the winners on the occasion.
