Akhilesh to face Karmanya in Cadet Boys final

JAMMU, Nov 17: Defeating their rivals convincingly in the semifinals today, Akhilesh and Karmanya have entered into the Under-12 Cadet Boys finals of the ongoing 38th Stag J&K State Table Tennis Championship and will lock horns against each other in the summit clash tomorrow.
In Under-12 Cadet boys semifinals, Akhilesh beat Rohan Langar 2-0, while Karmanya got better of Tejas 2-1.
Earlier, in Sub Junior boys quarterfinals, Hanumant drubbed Harshit Ramotra 3-1, Anuj Dutta outplayed  Akhilesh 3-2, Saksham trounced Mohd Shukla 3-0 and Manya drubbed Sudhikshan 3-0.
In Men’s singles first round, Vasu Dewan trounced Kashi Kalim 3-0, Shorya Sharma prevailed over Irfan 3-0, Ketan outclassed Aquib 3-0 and Dheeraj Arora defeated Amir 3-0.
The matches were officiated by Narinder Kour, SAI coach, Sandeep Khadotra, NIS Table Tennis coach and Meenu Rajesh.
Prominent among other present on the occasion were Satbir Singh, Rajan Sharma, I.P Singh, Satish Gupta, Ajay Sharma, Vasu Dewan,  Anil Dutta, Gurvinder Singh Sasan, Sandeep Khadotra, Shorya Sharma,  Narinder Singh, Sheetal Gandotra and Sanjeev Gupta.
Ashok Singh, Manager MA stadium and Narinder Singh were also present.
