LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today announced financial assistance of Rs five lakh each for two soldiers who died in an ambush by terrorists in Machhil sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
The amount has been sanctioned from the ruling party’s fund, an SP release said here.
The former defence minister paid tributes to martyrs Manoj Kushwaha and Shahshank Singh, who belonged to Ghazipur district of the State, and offered condolences to the bereaved families.
In a cross-LoC attack by suspected Pakistani terrorists on November 22, three Indian soldiers were killed with the body of one of them being mutilated.
