Jammu, Nov 25: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary today visited the residence of Bahadur Singh, whose daughter was seriously injured in recent cross-border firing in RS Pura.
Six members of the family were grievously injured in heavy shelling on October 25 in RS Pura sector along the International Border.
Consoling the father of the recuperating 14-year old Sakshi Choudhary who lost her vision in the right eye, the Minister assured that the Government will bear all the expenses for her treatment.
He also telephonically directed the HOD Ophthalmology Department, Government Medical College Jammu to make proper arrangements for providing medical assistance to the victim.
The Minister said that the Government is committed to provide medical aid to the victims besides arranging for their proper relief and rehabilitation. Additionally the Government has put in place adequate number of ambulances for transporting the injured well in time to the medical facilities for immediate treatment, he added.
