Chareel Banihal outplays Kingfisher Ramban by 110 runs

RAMBAN, Nov 28: Chareel Banihal defeated Kingfisher Ramban by a huge margin of 110 runs in the inaugural match of the T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by District Police Ramban, under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at District Police Lines, here.
Fourteen teams involving around 200 players drawn from various sub divisions of district Ramban are participating in the tournament on knockout basis.
The match was inaugurated by SSP Ramban, Randeep Kumar.
Batting first, Chareel Banihal scored a big total of 182 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Rauf Mir was the top scorer with 52 runs off just 19 deliveries.
In reply, Kingfisher Ramban bundled out for a paltry total of 72 runs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 110 runs.
Speaking on the occasion, Randeep said that Jammu and Kashmir Police, under Civic Action Programme is channelizing the energy of youth in positive direction.
He said that sports and games help in eradicating social evil from the society.
Prominent among others present on the opening ceremony were Additional SP Ramban, Mushtaq Choudhary, DySP Operations Gool, Vipin Chandran, Inspector Mohd Afzal Wani and Jahangir Katoch.
