KATHUA, Nov 30: Reiterating that Coalition Government is determined to provide all basic amenities to the people across the State, BJP MLA from Kathua today said that numerous developmental and welfare schemes have been launched in every nook and corner of the State to improve the living standard of the people.
MLA was addressing a largely attended public gatherings at Housing Colony Kathua and Budhi  after assessing development related issues of the area and kick starting various developmental works comprising of black-topping works  from National Highway to Housing Colony at the cost of  20 lakh, road from Budhi to Thanoon, Kharakhad and adjoining roads, black topping from National Highway to Chak Hari Singh worth 9 lakh in presence of city Mandal president, Vidya Sagar, Sanjeev Vaid, Kandi Mandal Pardhan Kulwant, Mohan, Chanda, Anil Sharma, Parveen Sharma and other workers of BJP.
MLA said that Government has already formulated a new massive development plan for development of every locality of the State particularly periphery areas of twin capital cities of Jammu and Srinagar. He said providing road connectivity to all villages is on high agenda of the Government, adding all unconnected areas would be connected with nearest district and tehsil headquarters through road network. The Government was committed to provide all improved basic facilities like road connectivity, drinking water, regular power supply, medicare and sanitation to people of Kathua Constituency, he added.
Jasrotia said that there was no constraint of funds to meet the development related issue of these areas and Government has taken various innovative measures to improve the living standards of the people, particularly those residing in peripheries of urban centres. Reiterating Coalition Government’s commitment to provide better civic amenities to the people, he said that massive development activities have been launched across the State to ensure safe drinking water, better sewerage, lanes and drains and hygienic surroundings in every nook and corner of the State.
He said with the starting of the new works, the long pending demand of the people has been redressed, adding that necessary instructions have been given to the concerned engineers to complete the works within stipulated time frame. He asked the people to personally monitor the quality of ongoing development works in their respective areas adding that need for public involvement in the developmental activities is must as without their cooperation the objective of Government of taking State’s development tempo to new heights cannot be achieved.
