PAMPORE, Dec 3: In yet another initiative towards carrying out constructive activities for the local youth, the Army Camp at Shar-e-Shali is organising a Football Tournament, under Sadbhavana XIX from 2-10 Dec 16.
Enthusiastic youth from 6 teams of local villages are participating in the tournament.The teams are Etihad Football Club, Saffron FC, Pantha Chowk FC, Shining Star FC, Pulwama FC and Khrew FC.
The tournament commenced with the first round of matches between Saffron FC Vs Etihad FC and Shining Star FC Vs Khrew FC.Etihad FC and Shining Star FC opened their tally by winning their respective matches. The next match will be played between Pantha Chowk FC vs Pulwama FC on 3rd Dec.
The enthusiastic youth volunteered to take on responsibilities to umpire, commentary and act as officials, whereas all the financial support and necessary help is being rendered by the Army.
The youth appreciated the opportunity provided to them and thanked the Army for organising the event. They also wished that more such events be organised in future to provide a platform to exhibit their talent.
