JAMMU, Dec 3: Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) Srinagar thrashed Surinder Cricket Club in an easy contest by 5 wickets in the ongoing AIKS Alcobrew Cricket League, being organized by All India Kashmiri Samaj in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police Department at Parade ground, here.
President AIKS, Vijay Aima was the chief guest in today’s proceedings. He was accompanied by Vice President AIKS, AK Raina, Secretary AIKS Aryan Ramesh, besides Ashinder Koul, former Chief Selector J&K Ranji Trophy team and Rajesh Dhar, Chairman Media Committee JKCA.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Surinder Club scored a modest total of 109 runs in 19 overs. Rajesh top scored with 21 runs, while Deepak and Vikas contributed 14 and 10 runs respectively. For RCC, Sahil took 4 wickets, Ishan bagged 3 and Praful Dhar and skipper Puneet Wattal claimed one wicket each.
In reply, RCC chased the target easily in 11 overs by losing 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Puneet Wattal top scored with 28 runs, while Shishu contributed 27 runs to the total.
The match was officiated by Sudhir Singh and Amit Gupta as umpires, while Sandeep Manchanda was the scorer. The matches are being managed by Sanjay Raina, DN Bhat and BK Tickoo.
