JAMMU, Dec 3: Kendriya Vidyalaya Nagrota celebrated its Annual Sports Day, 2016-17 in its School premises, here today.
Bimla Pandit, officiating Principal of the School was the chief guest on the occasion. The function was inaugurated by lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by Flag Hoisting and singing of National Anthem.
There were various sports events like 3 leg race and other athletic events that were organized for both primary and secondary wings. The sports day was organized under the overall supervision of Amriek Singh, TGT (PHE) and Jagdish Chander, the sports coach. The Annual Sports report was read by Amriek Singh.
Prizes were distributed to all the winners by Bimla Pandit, who while showering her blessings gave a brief on importance of sports in a Child’s growth and how sports have occupied an indispensable position in the 21st century in building the overall personality of a child.
The vote of thanks was given by Ram Vilas Rao towards the end of the sports day making it a big success.
