JAMMU, Dec 5: Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees and Workers Federation has extended its active support to the mass casual leave programme, call for which has been given by JK Government Employees Casual Labours, Workers, Pensioners United Platform.
This was announced by S Kulwant Singh, president of the Federation, while addressing a press conference, here today.
“After threadbare discussion, the house adopted a resolution to support and observe mass casual leave programme of the united platform on December 19,” he said and appealed the State Government employees, casual labours of various departments, including PSUs and pensioners to observe the one day mass casual leave and assembled in MA stadium Jammu for a rally on the day.
The call for mass casual leave has been given in support of the demands, which include regularization policy for need based casual labours of all department, who have been engaged after 1994, regular payment of wages under proper wage head, implementation of the 7th Pay Commission in favour of State Government employees and payment of 10 percent interim relief till the employees get 7th Pay Commission.
In the press conference, Kulwant Singh was accompanied by Shahid Hussain, Subash Chander, Paramjit Singh, Suresh Kumar, Aslam Khan, L r Khajuria, Ranjit Singh, and others.
