JAMMU, Dec 7: Banyan International School in association with Pearson School organized a city-wide Inter-School Quiz Competition for the second year in a row at Jammu for students from Grade 5 to 8.
The contest was organized with Nexus Consultancy, Bangaleru as their quiz partners. 226 students from 15 prominent schools of Jammu participated in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest of the event, Piyush Singla, Additional CEO Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board expressed Happiness over the initiative of Banyan International School in providing such a grand opportunity to students of Jammu to showcase their knowledge and learn more. He further hoped that Banyan International School would continue providing leadership in serving humanity through service to children.
After rounds of rigorous competition, students Bhavya Bhushan and Samyak Shirsh from Jodhamal Public School emerged as winners. Divyam Billowria and Shubam Kumar from Shiksha Niketan School were the first runner up and Aditya Bharadwaj and Harsh Tyagi from Jodhamal Public School were declared second runner up. The winners received exciting prizes which included mobile tablets, sports watches and other gadgets.
The questions at the Quiz ranged from an entire spectrum of topics from current events, sports and world civilizations. The format of the quiz was structured in a manner that not only tests the knowledge of students but also required them to apply sophisticated team tactics. The Quiz created a unique platform for students to learn the importance of fostering team spirit and indulging in healthy competition.
