Srinagar, Dec 8: Army today said 21 youth hailing from various parts of Kulgam and Anantnag districts of South Kashmir returned from a tour to Maharashtra.
A defence spokesman said the tour was fortnightly and was aimed to introduce the children to the nation’s progress in varied fields of education, research and entertainment.
“While in Pune, the students were taken to prestigious and renowned military and civil educational and training institutes that included the National Defence Academy, Armed Forces Medical College and Symbiosis Management Institute,” he said.
The defence spokesman said students also visited INS Ashwini, Film City and Marine Drive in Mumbai. The boys also got a warm welcome from the Governor of Maharashtra who encouraged them to dream big and pursue those dreams relentlessly.
“The children also had a fair share of fun and entertainment as they visited Amanora Mall, Diamond Water Park and Science Park besides other places,” the defence spokesman added.
