SRINAGAR, Dec 9: Meer Behri Yankees of Dal defeated Ashai Bagh Rover’s to lift the 3 days long Srinagar District Baseball Championship, 2016 by 12 to 9 homes played at Sports Field Bagh-i-Waris Kathi Darwaza , here.
Zulfiqar and Javid played excellently and scored three homes each for MB Yankees, while as Ajaz , Owais , Dilawar, Naeem, Idrees and Aqib scored one home each.
Pertinent to mention here that a team of 16 players each was picked up during this Championship for the upcoming 11th State level Baseball Championship 2016-17.
Besides Players large number of local youth and civil society members witness the closing ceremony of the Championship. The championship was organized by the J&K Baseball Association and was sponsored by the J&K State Sports Council.
