JAMMU, Oct 8: The Skit titled “Khilone Wali” presented by the team from Government College for Women (GCW), Gandhi Nagar, Jammu was adjudged first, while “Sheshnaag Da Bhaar” staged by Govt Women College, Parade and the Skit “Kamdev.Com” by Trikuta College of Computer Science and Management Studies, Jammu, was adjudged as Second and Third, respectively, in the ongoing “Display Your Talent” 2012-13 organised by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu at Brig Rajinder Singh Auditorium, here.
Best Actor award was bagged by Ansh from the Trikuta College of Computer Science and Management Studies Jammu for his acting in the Skit “Kamdev.Com” as Kamdev while Suneedhi from Govt Women College, Parade was adjudged as Best Actress for playing the characters of “Chobdar” & “Gyani” in the Skit “Sheshnaag Da Bhaar”.
The certificates of merit in acting were awarded to Sanyam Pandoh from K C Law College for acting in Skit “Lutere”, Arpana Kapoor from Govt Women College, Parade, in the skit “Sheshnaag Da Bhaar”, Mehr-un-Nsia and Abisha Khajuria both from Govt Women College, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu for their acting in the Skit “Khilone Wali”, Neha Choudhary from GGM Science College, Jammu for acting in Skit “TRP” and Shallu Rajput from Trikuta Degree College, Jammu for her acting in Skit “Peela Bhoot”.
The participating teams included Govt. Degree College, Samba, Govt. Degree College, Kathua, GGM Science College, Jammu, Model Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jammu, K C Law College, Jammu, Department of Home Science, University of Jammu, Govt Degree College, Ramnagar, MBS College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu and Trikuta Degree College, Jammu.
Vinod K Dheer, Anil Sharma and Mushtaq Kak, were amongst the panel of the adjudicators.
The programme was compeered by Harmeet Kour, Joint Secretary, Students Cultural Council.
Among others, Prof Jasbir Singh, Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof N K Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare, Prof Neeru Sharma, Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Ashwani Kumar, Assistant Registrar, Nidhi Kaila, Divya Mahajan, Teacher Incharges from various Affiliated Colleges and Students, were also present on this occasion.
