JAMMU, Dec 13: “We welcome the inquiry in the construction of Paradise Avenue and will provide all the documents required during the inquiry to the investigating agency”, son of former Finance Minister Hillal Rather said today.
Addressing a press conference, Rather said that as everybody is well aware that in Jammu City, any permission for the construction is given by JDA or JMC, adding that before starting construction of Paradise Avenue, they had properly approached both JMC and JDA for granting permission for the construction of flats on the legitimately acquired premises.
“After proper processing of the case while as JDA told us that this particular area does not fall within their jurisdiction, JMC issued building permission in our favour after appropriately seeking NOCs from different departments including JDA, of which we have documentary proofs”, he informed.
“We welcome the inquiry to be conducted in the construction of the Paradise Avenue and will share all the required documents with the investigating agency as we are law abiding people,’’ Rather added.
He said they have nothing to hide and have documents with them which they would share with the Inquiry Committee as and when asked for.
