JAMMU, Dec 13: Displaying grit and guts apart from extraordinary skill, the eves from Jammu and Kashmir bagged second place in the 24th Junior National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship held at Karnal in Haryana.
In the semifinals earlier, J&K drubbed Jharkhand, while the other finalist Goa defeated Uttar Pradesh.
Batting first, in the summit clash, Goa scored a decent total of 75 runs in the allotted 8 overs.
In reply, J&K eves managed to score 65 runs in the stipulated 8 overs. For J&K, Bismah scored 15 runs, while Heena Bhat and Sonika contributed 12 and 10 runs respectively.
The office bearers of J&K Tennis Ball Cricket Association have lauded the efforts of the players of the State team for this achievement.
