KATHUA, Dec 13: The Safai Karamcharis of Kathua Municipality held a demonstration in the premises of Municipality in protest against the non payment of wages to them.
The protesters raising slogans against the authorities of Municipality and the Government demanded their wages be released immediately.
The protest was led by Sawan Cheta president of the Safai Karamcharis Union Kathua. He said the Safai Karamcharis performing the odd job have not been paid the wages for months together which shows the callousness of the Government towards them.
He warned that in case the wages were not paid within few days they will be forced to launch indefinite agitation.
