CEAMA honours Anil Khera as ‘Man of Electronics’

NEW DELHI, Dec 16: The CEO of Videocon d2h, Anil Khera, was recognized as the “Man of Electronics” by CEAMA (Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association). This covered accolade is in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the growth of the consumer electronics and appliances industry in India and reaffirms the deep respect the industry has for his pioneering stewardship of the industry.
The award was conferred by P P Chaudhary, MoS for Law & Justice and Electronics & IT, Government of India, at the CEAMA’s 37th Annual function, held in New Delhi yesterday.
Anil Khera, a 35 year plus veteran of the electronics and appliances industry, has been at various leadership roles in his over 30 years association with the Videocon group. As the first MD of Sansui, Khera made it among the best selling TV brands. As MD of Kelvinator, he guided it to high growth in a fragmented, intensely competitive industry. In 2008, he joined Videocon d2h, the DTH service brand from the Videocon group.
He has been instrumental in making Videocon d2h among the top brands in a 6 player industry and the fastest growing DTH service in India. Under his leadership, Videocon d2h became the first Indian media company to be listed on NASDAQ. For the past 3 years, Khera has been the President of the DOAI, the apex industry body.
