JAMMU, Dec 17: Various deputations called on Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh during his sitting at Trikuta Nagar Party Office today and apprised him of the problems of the people.
During their interactions with the Dr. Nirmal Singh, problems related to different departments were taken up with him by the people who had thronged the BJP office to have direct talk with him.
The problems, as highlighted by the people as well as by the party activists, were immediately taken up by DyCM with concerned officials.
Dr. Singh, while interacting with the people, said that every Minister of the party has been asked to be available at party headquarter once in a week for direct interaction with the party activists. Not only party activists but the general public is also coming to meet the ministers.
Besides a delegation led by State president Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) led by Dr.Surinder Radotra met Deputy CM and submitted a memorandum regarding pending burning issues of VAEAs to him.
Dr Radotra discussed different pending issues like pending salary, inclusion of 7-8-9 years of service as REZ in regular service for old pension benefits, reconsidering of grade pay at per JAEOs and framing of service rules and pending issues.
DyCM assured them that for salary and arrears of 2nd and 3rd batch VAEAs the funds will be released soon.
Dr. Singh said that regarding inclusion of services as REZ for pensionary benefits he will take up issue with Agriculture Minister.
Yudhvir Sethi senior vice president BJP, Mamta Singh VP of the Party and Nariender Singh general secretary BJP were also present at the occasion.
A joint delegation of Kashmiri Pandits led by Dr Ramesh Bhat, also met DyCM Dr Singh. They brought into notice the issues concerning the Kashmiri Pandit community in general and the residents of Jagti township and employees of PM package in particular. The issues raised by the delegation were the non functionality of the 40 bedded hospital at Jagti and the recurring drinking water problem during the Monsoon.
The DyCM immediately contacted Minister of PHE and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Jammu and directed the RC to present the status of the hospital as well as the drinking water facility before him. He also directed the RC to personally visit the Jagiti and prepare the status report in order to mitigate the health and drinking water problems for all times to come.
The accommodation problem of PM Package employees putting up at Hall Camp was also discussed in detail with Dy Cm in presence of the package employees. The Dy CM asked the package employees to come with all the details pertaining to their place of posting as well as the accommodation needs of them and their families to his office in the coming week. He also took the matter with other officers and assured the employees that the Government is ceased of their genuine problem on account of their security and will take appropriate measures for their accommodation in the Valley before directing them to their duties. He directed them to remain in touch with his office for its final conclusion.
