UDHAMPUR, Dec 18: Several deputations from Udhampur Assembly Constituency today met MLA Pawan Gupta and apprised him of their problems.
A deputation of Ward No 17 of Udhampur town told the MLA that the condition of roads, streets drains and street lights of their ward is worst. They further complained of irregular supply of drinking water and demanded regular supply of drinking water and electricity in their ward. They also requested MLA for the blacktopping of the main road of their mohalla.
Another deputation of Rathain west under the leadership of Ex- Sarpanch informed MLA that the people of villages Kharoni, Upper Kharoni, Berradani and Jar Mohalla have been facing the scarcity of drinking water from a very long time. Ex-Panch Mukund Lal demanded construction of roads in Phengyal, Kharoni and Dena villages.
A deputation from Krimchi Panchayat disclosed that the Village Kandal was never blessed with the facility of electricity and due to the sincere efforts of MLA the area is equipped with the facility of electricity. They also demanded MLA for more electricity poles so as to cover maximum area. People also raised the demand for construction of 14 kilometer road from Krimchi to Sorap. A deputation from Lower Thanoa demanded a road from Bishal to Kurd Devta Bapli and the repair of Kahn road.
The MLA issued on spot directions to the concerned authorities to take appropriate action to redress public problems and grievances. He assured the people that their problems will be sorted out within a span of short period.
