KATHUA, Dec 19: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) general secretary, Sartaj Madni said that the peace talks with Pakistan is only solution for settlement of all issue with neighboring country including Kashmir.
Madni who was talking to media person after addressing a public meeting organized by PDP in Kathua said that due to unprovoked firing by Pakistan, the people of Kathua and Hiranagar area of the State are suffering a lot and many people lost their lives in Pak shelling in border area along the Pakistan.
He said that former Chief Minister, Mufti Mohamed Sayeed had the vision to maintain the peace in the State and have started efforts in this regard. The main objective of the PDP is to restore peace in the State and to boost the development. He said development is not possible with out peace in the State and Government needs to talk with all stake holders of the State whether they are Kashmiris, Hurriyat leaders or Pakistan and India need to take steps in this direction.
Madni said PDP can play a role as bridge in both the countries as the Mufti Mohammed Sayeed had the vision.
The PDP leader also supported the sanction of compensation to kin of dreaded terrorist Burhan Wani and said his family is innocent and there is no crime to sanction of ex-gratia relief to affected family. Even it is better if Gover-nment will announce a package for rehabilitation of youth killed during three months Kashmir unrest, he added.
He also criticized the statement of National Conference chief , Dr Farooq Abdullah to support Hurriyat policies on Kashmir and said, Dr Farooq has no stand on any issue and can go to any extent for chair .
On the occasion PDP general secretary Mehboob Iqbal, district president Surinder Singh also address the rally and highlighted the policies of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed.
