JAMMU, Dec 20: In the league match of Dr. Vidushi Kapahi Memorial 50-over Cricket League played at Country Cricket Academy grounds, Gharota between Reasi Best Stars and Project Model Hr. Sec School, the latter defeated their opponents by 5 wickets, here.
Reasi Best Stars won the toss and elected to bat but at a stage very early in the match they were struggling against the initial bowling spell spearheaded by opening bowler Arastu Sharma who claimed 4 wickets and Abhinav Sharma who claimed 3. Other successful bowler was Marutwan who claimed 3 wickets. The batsman from Reasi was Neeraj, who made valuable 43 runs and the whole team was out for 80 runs.
Project Model Hr. Sec School achieved the target in 24 overs losing 5 wickets. Kapil was the wrecker-in-chief, who took all five wickets. Manav (18), Akshit (17) and Manik Sharma (13) were the main contributors.
Arastu Sharma of Project Model Hr. Sec School and Kapil of Reasi Best Stars were adjudged the joint men of the match.
In another match between Reasi Best Stars and and Col RN Chopra Cricket Academy, Col RN Chopra Cricket Academy, prevailed over the former easily.
After winning the toss, Reasi Best Stars those to bat but could score only 106 runs through the contributions of Vikas 26, Harsh 20, Neerav 19 and sahil 15 runs. From Col RN Chopra cricket Academy, Abhay Tandon was the most successful bowler with 5 wickets . Tushar Dhavan and Udhey Pratap Singh claimed 2 wickets each.
