JAMMU, Dec 20: SM Jain Higher Secondary School celebrated  its Annual Day  and Prize Distribution Function at Police Auditorium Gulshan ground with pomp and splendor, here today.
The four-hour event brought to life the colours of childhood, with colourful programmes including dance, song and drama.
The students presented their fountain of talents during this fantastic series of presentations.
The programme rose to a final crescendo with the finale of the show, the foot tapping enthusiastic folklore of Punjab ‘Bhangra’.
The event opened with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, Priya Sethi, Minister of State for Education and guest of honour, Pramod Jain, Financial Commissioner Agriculture Production, Govt of J&K.
The welcome address was presented by School Manag-ement Committee President, Prof Bansi Lal Jain. The bedazzling performances and the giving away of the annual awards was graced by the chief guest and guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion both dignitaries appreciated the work done by the students and highly appreciated the role of the Principal for the Annual Day celebration.
Principal Suresh Gupta read out the annual report of the School, highlighting the prominent achievements of the school during this academic year in scholastic and co-scholastic areas and reiterated the importance of parental engagement in partnership with the school. President, Prof Bansi Lal Jain also spoke on the occasion, while General Secretary, Ramneek Jain presented vote of thanks.
