JAMMU, Dec 20: Jammu District Sambo Championship concluded at Shastri Memorial Higher Secondary School, here today.
Around 250 students drawn from various schools participated in the event.
Member Parliament, Shamsher Singh Manhas was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony and distributed prizes among the winners.
Earlier, Ravinder Gupta, Managing Director of the School presented welcome address, while organizing secretary of the Championship, Rohit Sadhotra presented vote of thanks.
In 27 kg, Shivan bagged gold, while Pranshu won silver and the bronze was shared by Shivans Raina and Chetan Verma.
In 24 kg, Hitesh and Kritin Gai won gold and silver respectively and the bronze went to Krish Trikha and Mahil, while in 32 kg, Jiwansh bagged gold and Udhav won silver and the bronze went to Aryan and Danish.
In 36 kg, the gold medal was won by Yuvraj and silver by Aryan Bhat and the bronze medal was claimed by Aditya and Simranjeet, while in 38 kg, the gold medal was bagged by Arun, while the silver was claimed by Surya and the bronze was shared by Suraj and Anirudh.
In open category, Piyush won gold and Mohit claimed silver.
