APS Jammu celebrates 27th Annual Day

JAMMU, Dec 23: Army Public School (APS), Jammu celebrated Annual Day with great pomp and splendor, here today.
The theme of the Annual Day was ‘Sangam’.
The ceremonial function was presided over by Major General Sanjeev Sharma (YSM), Patron APS Jammu Cantt and Brig Randhir Singh (VSM), Chairman APS Jammu Cantt.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and the other dignitaries, which was followed by Ganesh Vandana that enthralled the audience.
The welcome song exhibited the elation of the students, while the School Annual Report was read by the Principal, Ratna Maliick, which highlighted the achievements of the School.
The students presented cultural bonanza, which included fusion dance by class 1st and 2nd students, puppet dance by class 3rd students, besides Rajasthani folk dance, Kashmiri dance, Dandia and Jhumur.
The ballad on environment was a lesion on preserving the earth which left the audience spell bound.
The antique feature was the ‘Shadow dance’ presented by the twin sisters of class 12th.
The students presented their fountain of talents crescendo with the finale of the show, the foot tapping enthusiastic folklore of Punjabi Bangra.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks followed by National Anthem.
