The 64th running of the grade 2 Maharaja Sir Hari Singh Ji Gold Trophy is a high profile race backed by the family of late Maharaja and the festive carnival.
The Maharaja Sir Hari Singh Jji Gold Trophy race illustrates the royal family of Jammu and Kashmir’s long time involvement in equestrian sports in Mumbai. A link that began as early as 1953, when Hari Singh Ji had the first running of this race during his lifetime with the presentation of a silver trophy. The running of this race is the first of many milestones in a long history between the family of Hari Singh Ji and the horse racing at the Mahalaxmi racecourse, a legacy they are keen to take forward.
