JAMMU, Jan 4: In a contempt petition filed by Secretaries of Chief Justice and Judges of the High Court against non-implementation of judgment regarding grades equivalent to KAS officers, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan has directed Chief Secretary, Law Secretary and Finance Secretary to appear in person to state as to why proceedings shall not be initiated against them for non compliance of the order.
“In the earlier order, it was clearly stated that the benefit shall be given from the date the petitioners have become eligible and Registrar General also submitted a proposal to that effect. However, the order has not been complied with till date”, the DB observed.
Accordingly, the DB directed Chief Secretary, Law and Finance Secretaries to appear in person to state as to why proceedings shall not be initiated against them for non compliance of the order.
