JAMMU, Jan 5: Non Teaching Employees Association (NTEA) of SKUAST-J and SKUAST-K today announced a Coordination Committee of both the associations.
In a joint press conference organized here today by both the associations, it was informed to the media persons that the objective of constitution of Coordination Committee is resolving the issues pertaining to non teaching fraternity of both the Agricultural Universities.
It was revealed that the Coordination Committee will hold its office on Darbar move pattern. President, NTEAJ, Jammu will be the chairman when the Darbar will be in Jammu and accordingly president, NTEA, Kashmir will hold the office of chairman during the Darbar in Kashmir. Both the Chairmen will announce a committee comprising of two members from each University.
KD Singh (senior vice-president) and Zamir-ul-Haq (general secretary) of NTEA SKUAST-J and Mohd Shafi Bhat (general secretary) and Muzzafar Ahmad Nazki (secretary) of NTEA SKUAST-K were nominated as members of the Coordination Committee. The Coordination Committee will take up the issues pertaining to non-teaching employees through the Joint Committee of the Universities.
Major demands of the non-teaching employees are enhancement of retirement age from 60 to 62 year, grant of half DPL Service to Helpers in their incentive promotions according to Government SRO No 311 of J&K state, enhancement of promotion/Selection Scale Quota for ACT/Accountant/ FCLAs, LSAs /Drivers and Class IV employees to 100% and provision of 100% Promotion Quota of Head Assistants/Senior Stenographers/Senior Accoun-tants to the posts of Assistant Registrar and Assistant Comptroller.
