UDHAMPUR, Jan 6: A 4-year old child died while other passengers had miraculous escape when a car rolled down in deep gorge near Dogra Hotel Patnitop, here today.
The i10 car, bearing registration number. JK02BQ-7567, was on its way from Patnitop to Jammu when it rolled down in a deep gorge. Police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the victims to Chenani hospital where doctors declared the minor as brought dead..
The deceased was identified as Sarwgya (4), son of Sanjay Verma, resident of Shastri Nagar Jammu.
Meanwhile, a pedestrian was critically injured when an unidentified bus hit him near Kali Mata Temple Jakhani on the National Highway.
The injured was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu. He has been identified as Ranjeet Singh (40), son of Baldev Singh of Jakhani.
