JAMMU, Jan 7: Pradeep Dutta, Bureau Chief Times Now and Avtar Bhat, Special Correspondent, Daily Excelsior were felicitated by Harmony Cultural Foundation for pursuing bold and investigative journalism today.
Harmony Cultural Foundation – well known socio cultural group that promotes art and and culture in India especially displaced Kashmiri Pandit community – felicitated  Pradeep Dutta for uncovering several issues confronting society. Avtar Bhat was honoured for his aggressive and well thought coverage of various events.
The other journalists who were felicitated on the occasion for their contribution in the field of mass media included Anil Bhat, Bureau Chief Press Trust of India, Sameer Bhat, ETV, King C Bharti and Sunny Kashmiri.
The award was presented by Kavinder Gupta, Speaker Legislative Assembly.
Kusum Tikoo, who was anchoring show said Pradeep Dutta besides covering defence related issues and political developments often uses poetic expressions to weave fabric of composite culture torn by ongoing gun culture in State of Jammu and Kashmir.
These scribes were awarded for their professional ethics and good work during a function organised by Foundation to release ceremony of Santmala album – a tribute to Saints of Kashmir.
Surinder Ambardar, Member Legislative Council (MLC)  and Vijay Bakaya former Chief Secretary and MLC were guests of honour.
The speakers lauded bold coverage of various events by Pradeep Dutta, Avtar Bhat, Anil Bhat and Sameer Bhat among others and hoped they would continue to pursue more bold stories.
