JAMMU, Jan 11: Directing all the officers and officials of the State Government as well as the Public Sector Undertakings, stationed at Jammu, to attend the forthcoming Republic Day function at M A Stadium, as a part of their official duty, the Government has warned disciplinary action for disobedience of the instruction.
“Failure to attend the function will be construed as dereliction of the duty and disobedience of the Government instructions. The disciplinary action as admissible under rules shall be initiated against those who fail to attend the function,” says an official circular, issued in this regard.
As per the circular, the Government has taken a serious view of the fact that despite clear instruction of the General Administration Department, many of the officers and officials had not attended the last year Republic Day function.
