JAMMU, Jan 12: Jammu Rising Stars scripted third consecutive win over Vishal Stars in the ongoing 7-Matches Cricket Series for junior cricketers, being played at Parade Ground, here today.
The series is being organized by Vishal Cricket Club, Jammu under the supervision of Rajesh Gill, Former Ranji Player.
Earlier, batting first, Jammu Rising Stars scored 136 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 22 overs. Shezad scored a brilliant fifty (52), while Rohan Gill and Abay Tandon chipped in with 17 and 14 runs respectively. Gurdaat Singh took 2 wickets for Vishal Stars, while Praful Dhar, Aditpal Singh, Nalin and Agastaya shared 1 wicket each.
Vishal Rising Stars, in reply managed to score 105 runs by losing 9 wickets, thus lost the match by 31 runs. Araya Sachivansh was the top scorer with 38 runs, while Praful Dhar contributed 21 runs and Swastik Sharma chipped in with 11 runs. For Jammu Rising Stars, Adhishwer Kotwal took 4 wickets, while Abay Tondon and Jugjap Singh took 2 wickets each and Tushar claimed 1 wicket. Shehzad was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant fifty.
The match was officiated by Sandeep Manchanda, Sanjay and Vinod Kandyara.
The fourth match of the Series will be played tomorrow at 8 am sharp.
