JAMMU, Jan 12: Simula Cricket Club got better of New Challenger Cricket Club (NCCC) by a narrow margin of 18 runs, despite a brilliant 5-wicket haul by speedster Ramdayal Punia in the ongoing KC Sports Club Cricket Cup 2017 at KC School ground, here today.
Earlier, batting first, Simula Cricket Club scored a modest total of 117 runs in the allotted overs. Puneet was the top scorer from Samula with power-packed 34 runs off 13 balls, studded with 5 huge sixes, while Shashi contributed 32 runs. Fof NCCC. Ramdayal was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 5 important wickets.
New challenger CC, in reply, bundled out for 99 runs. Aditya was the top scorer with 21 runs. For Simula, Hardeep Singh took 3 wickets, while Sahil and Raman took 1 wicket each. Puneet Kumar of Simula was declared as man of the match for his brisk knock.
