JAMMU, Jan 12: Vigilance Organization registered a case FIR No. 01/2017 against Shabir Ahmed, then Patwari Halqa Channi Rama, Fida Hussain then Girdawar, Sarwar Lone then Naib Tehsildar, Ravinder Kumar then Tehsildar and one Deepak Singh for illegal preparation/issuance and mutation of Fard for over nine marlas of land situated at Khasra No. 234 at Channi Rama near here.
According to a handout of Vigilance Organisation verification conducted by the Organization into the complaint of Sarabjit Singh S/O S. Rangil Singh R/o 149/1 Nanak Nagar Jammu has revealed that the concerned Revenue officials in connivance with the beneficiary namely Deepak Singh S/o Devinder Singh, by abusing their official position fraudulently prepared and issued illegal Fard for over nine marlas of land falling under Khasra No. 234 situated at Channi Rama, Tehsil & District Jammu in excess of the land that existed in the Revenue records as well as on ground in the said Khasra. The whole of the land falling under Khasra No. 234 had already been sold to different persons prior to the issuance of illegal fard for nine and half marlas land in favour of the beneficiary. No land was available on spot at the time of issuance of the illegal Fard to the beneficiary Deepak Singh who further gifted this land to his brother namely Surinder Singh. The Patwari Halqa Channi Rama Shabir Ahmed prepared the said illegal fard whereas Girdawar Fida Hussain checked/verified and Naib Tehsildar Sarwar Lone attested the said Fard respectively. Tehsildar Ravinder Kumar had counter signed the Fard on the basis of which mutation No. 4603 was attested in favour of Surinder Singh illegally as no land was available on spot.
A case under sections 5(1) (d) r/w 5 (2) J&K P.C Act 2006 and sections 120-B 467,468 & 471-RPC was registered against them and investigation is going on.
