JAMMU, Jan 12: 10 Days Children Theatre Workshop organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu concluded today with the presentation of a vibrant short play ‘Welcome-2017’ devised by Ifra Kak at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, here.
Prof. Deshbandhu Gupta, Dean Academic Affairs, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, who thoroughly enjoyed the performance of the children who have had fun filled learning during the workshop.
Prof. Deshbandhu Gupta complemented Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Satnam Kour for organizing such a meaningful workshop because of which children could get exposure to enhance their talent and gain the confidence to face the audience.
In her welcome address, Prof. Satnam Kour, Dean Students Welfare told about the idea of conducting such a unique workshop within the campus which proves effective in igniting confidence in the participants.
The programme was witnessed by a huge gathering which included members of Campus Cultural Committee, faculty members, and employees of the University, most of them were the parents of the participants.
Dr. Anupama Vohra, Associate Dean Students Welfare presented the vote of thanks.
The children who participated in the workshop included Dixit Gupta, Vibhawari Sharma, Sohi Sharma, Kamya Langer, Ruhaani Gulati, Bhumika Khajuria, Himakshi Manhas, Anhad Pal Singh, Himanish Tripathi, Thvisha Bamzai, Manika Sharma, Kartik Sharma, Nandita Khajuria, Himanshu Kundal, Rudrakshi Jaral, Shabd Preet Kour, Niharika Bamzai, Aarav Koundal, Surya Dev Singh, Arnav Koundal, Ashvika, Ira Vaid.
The workshop was conducted by Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer) and Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor).
