JAMMU, Oct 11: To participate in the forthcoming 20th Junior National Fencing Championship to be held in Raipur in Chhattisgarh, the J&K Amateur Fencing Association and the Screening Committee constituted by J&K State Sports Council selected the State team at MA Stadium, here today.
The Screening Committee included Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council, Association president MJ Sharma, Association Secretary, Vijay Sharma and coach Shottu Lal Sharma, Rashid Ahmed and Ajay Khartol.
The team:
Vishal Thappar, Javed Ahmed, Koushal Sharma and Sushant (sabre men); Mohd Tariq, Dushant Magotra, Gursharan Singh and Nihal Singh (foil men); Teja Singh, Pankaj, Soujanya Chib and Ravi Sharma (epee men); Anchal Gupta, Gazal Gupta, Deeksha Pandey and Kayal Kumari (epee girls); Akansha Sabarwal (epee girls individual); Simran Arya, Priya Khajuria, Mokshi Sharma and Harpreet Kour (sabre girls).
