JAMMU, Oct 12: Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association (JKRA) has selected 16 members J&K team for participation in the 32nd North Zone Shooting Championship-2012 in Small Bore Rifle & Pistol and Shotgun events being held at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Ranges in New Delhi from October 9 to October 14.
The marksmen/woman of the State will compete with the Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Central Forces teams in the in .177 Air Rifle / Air Pistol and .22 rifle individual and team events in competitions.
According to Treasurer of JKRA, Sudhir Kumar team was selected on the basis of their performance in the previous national record and on the basis of performance in recently held at Jammu District Shooting Championship.
Former Director General of Police who is also president of JKRA PS Gill, IGP Armed, working president JKRA Dilbag Singh, KS Jamwal, Sr vice president, Dr Uttam Singh, Sanam Soni and Pankaj Sharma executive members of the JKRA has wished the team good luck.
Col Sukhbir Singh who is also executive member of JKRA is the manager of the team.
The team: Deepika Singh, Swati Mishra, Shivani, Joythsana, Sahil Sharma, Aman Singh, Vishal Choudhary, TDS Jamwal, Sukhmeet Singh, Susheel Kumar, Sunil Sharma, Ranjit Chopra, Shanker Gupta, Sandeep Bandral, Vibhas Gupta and Digvijay Singh.
