Assembly: Tarigami walks out against Trump’s order of banning immigrants from 7 nations

JAMMU : CPI(M) MLA Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami today staged a walkout from the Assembly in protest against US President Donald Trump’s decision of banning people of seven countries from entering the United States.
The decision of banning the people is unfortunate and it will have effects globally, Mr Tarigami told the House.
At the beginning of the session, the senior CPI(M) leader went into the well and shouted slogans against Trump.
He said the decision will further strengthen and give boost to terrorism and sense of insecurity will also prevail among the Muslims living in the United States.
He was protesting against Mr Trump’s decision to indefinitely suspend the re-settlement of Syrian refugees and ban people from seven Muslim nations from entering the United States.
He termed this decision of Mr Trump cowardly and self-defeating. This is also dangerous for the peace in the world. This decision is bound to polarise the world and endanger the lives of the innocents.
This order lacks logic and it is by all standards uncivilized and blatantly unconstitutional, he said.
He appealed to the people to join the millions world over in their protests against this order by Mr Trump.
The member while expressing concern over the decision staged walkout from the House while shouting slogans in solidarity with the victims of this disastrous order. (AGENCIES)
